UNIVERSITY OF DAR ES SALAAM

INVITATION FOR BIDS

1. The University of Dar es Salaam has set aside funds for various activities during the financial year 2018/2019. It is intended that part of the funds will be applied to cover eligible payments under the contract for the supply of goods and provision of services.

2. The University of Dar es Salaam now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Suppliers and Service provider to bid the following tenders:-

3. Bidding will be conducted through the NCB procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non-Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Regulations.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary of University of Dar es Salaam Tender Board, P. O. Box 35091, Dar es Salaam for UDSM- Main Campus and for Institute of Marine Science (IMS) Zanzibar is Office of Director, 1st floor, Institute of Marine Sciences-Zanzibar, Mizingani Road, Forodhani area from 9.00am to 3:00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

5. All bids properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes shall be delivered to Secretary, University of Dar es Salaam Tender Board, Bookshop Building, First floor, office No. 7, P. O. Box 35091, at or before 10.00am local time, date indicated in the table for UDSM- Main Campus and for Institute of Marine Science (IMS) Zanzibar is Office of Director, 1st floor. Institute of Marine Sciences-Zanzibar, Mizingani Road, Forodhani area.

6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 50,000.00 (TAS Fifty Thousand Only, VAT inclusive) Payment should be made by Cash, Bankers Draft or Bankers Cheque, payable to Bursar of the University of Dar es Salaam or UDSM, NMB, Income Account. No. 2081100017.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the bidding documents.

8. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the University of Dar es Salaam, (PMU) Office , Bookshop Building, First floor. Room No. 007 and for IMS will be Office of Director, 1st floor. Institute of Marine Sciences-Zanzibar, Mizingani Road, Forodhani area.

9. Pre-tendering meeting and Site visit for Tender of Cleaning Services IMS -Zanzibar will be on 30th May, 2019 at 10.00 a.m. in Zanzibar and the location for pre- tendering meeting and site visit is shown in the tender document.

10. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, and Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
