Introduction:
Our client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate must have a completed Accounting/Finance degree and CPA T with proven Agricultural Sector experience in management accounting as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Reporting: Head of Department

Job Location: Tanzania (Up Country)
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure accurate and timely month end reporting for the business unit(s), including:
- Maintain clean general ledgers and sub-ledgers, ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled fully and reconciling items are addressed and cleared on a timely basis
- Assist in the review and update to the BU allocations based on discussions with department heads on a quarterly basis
- Preparation of monthly budget vs actual financial analysis to be presented to BU department heads
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of the annual BU budgets and quarterly reforecasts for senior management
- Assist with the preparation taxation and statutory returns as required
- Assist with the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements. Where applicable audit file preparation and assistance with external auditors
- Assist on improving processes and systems
- And any other duties/tasks relevant to the position as delegated by Management.
Education:
- Bachelor of Commerce Honours
- CPA (T)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Communication skills and solid interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
- General accounting system knowledge
- 4 years’ experience in an Agricultural Sector background
- FMCG / Manufacturing industry experience essential
- Strong controlling and analytical skills
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Proven experience working on finance ERP systems
- Experience with MS Dynamics preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Deadline driven
