Project Title: National Consultancy for Operationalizing the Integrated Innovation Ecosystem Strengthening Programme
Duty Station:Dar Es Salaam with travel to Arusha, Morogoro and Dodoma (the new government city) with
scheduled travel to selected regions/districts for consultations
Period of assignment: 30 person-days
Eligibility:Qualified and experienced national consultants are invited to submit their proposals
Objective and Scope of the Work:
The overall objective is to prepare a detailed Project Document (PRODOC) for the new UNDP Tanzania horticulture project on:The programme will address issues relating to business enabling environment, strengthening supply system, value chain development, private sector engagement and overall required capacity at federal and regional levels. Furthermore, the consultant shall delineate a strategy on promoting market-oriented production approaches through improved and specialized production modalities. The programme document will have detailed implementation and management arrangements as well as a coherent monitoring and evaluation framework to achieve targeted outputs in the specified time frame.
Specific objective;
Specifically, the national consultant is expected to collect relevant information and data, coordinate and facilitate consultative meetings at different levels to share the objective of the consultancy work with major stakeholders; and review available information from primary and secondary data sources and suggest methodologies and approaches to be employed for the actual field study.
The consultancy will consist of interlinked activities and processes that contribute to the final product, the Project Document. These do not need to be prepared in a strictly sequential manner but rather in an interactive manner.
