PRE- QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WASH INFRASTRUCTURES IN KISARAWE DISTRICT WATERAID
WaterAid is an International Non-Governmental Organization, with a vision of ensuring Safe Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for Everyone, Everywhere by 2030. WaterAid has had its operations in Tanzania since 1983 under the name “WaterAid Tanzania” which is registered as Non-Governmental Organisation in The Republic of Tanzania (NO.SO.7557).
WaterAid Tanzania (WAT) operates as a Country Programme and functional office of WaterAid UK; within East African Region. The head office is in Dar es Salaam, Rufiji Street, Plot No.1469, Masaki Area within Kinondoni District.
Water Aid Tanzania has received fund from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for implementing a programme for Improvement of Hygiene Behaviour in Schools and Health Care Facilities. This project aims at improving access to WASH services and good hygiene behaviours in 30 primary schools and 15 health care facilities(dispensaries) in Kisarawe district.
Water Aid Tanzania invites applications from interested contractors who are registered by Contractors Registration Board (CRB) with class six, five and four for prequalification for the assignment of improving WASH infrastructures in Kisarawe District in Coastal Region from December 2021 to February 2022. The main works includes:
Following documents should be submitted:
- Company profile that includes legal documents (Valid licenses and legal documentation to operate in Tanzania e.g. incorporation certificate, business license and relevant tax certificates, licenses from CRB.
- List of major equipment(s) for carrying out the works.
- A list of recent performed contracts of similar nature including the names and addresses of the employers for verification.
- Recent financial statements of the bidder/bank statement 3
- A duly Certified Power of Attorney :

Box 33759 Plot No.1469 Rufiji Street: Off Haile Selassie Rd – Msasani Peninsular, Dar es Salaam: Tanzania.” and clearly marked “Bid for Pre-qualification of contractors for the Construction of WASH infrastructures in Kisarawe District”. The bids Opening will be on 24th November 2021 from 11:00am at WaterAid Country Office.
