REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIOIN OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRM SELECTIN)
The government of Tanzania has received financing from the world bank toward the cost of Dar es Salaam Transport Improvement Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds for services for supervision of roads works – DART infrastructure – Phase 3 Lot 1 roads works (23.33KM)
The DSM BRT has 3 road infrastructure corridor starts AT Posta within the central business district and passes azikiwe/maktaba steet 0.95 KM Bibiti Street and Nyerere road pass Julius Nyerere International Airport to Gongola mboto area 17.92 KM. Another branch starts at the Kariakoo BRT Terminal along Uhuru Street to Buguruni and Nelson Mandela road and Joins Nyerer Road at the TAZARA Junction 4.46 KM The corridor within to mixed traffic lanes shall accommodate one buses depot (at gongolamboto) one buses Terminal (KARIAKOO 3 feeder station (at Jet Club, Banan, and buguruni – Rozana) thity two 32 bus station and five pedestrian crossing bridges at the Kisutu Market, Buguruni Rozana feeder Terminal JNIA Terminal , Banana at gongolamboto. The park –and-ride facilities for private car owners-months within this context the consultant shall be entrusted with the following responsibilities
- Carrying out supervision of civil works and ensure compliance with the approved design, drawings, specification, condition of contract approved works programmes and sound engineering practice
- Prepare comprehensive reports in each 6 months cycle on the environmental and social management plans (ESMP) and provide annual reports on measure adopted for the safety of the project reads sensitization of local population on HIV/AIDS, STI, TB and gender issues
- Review of the proposed traffic deviation during construction period for the purpose of ensuring that the proposed traffic arrangement results minimal disruption of the public
- Preparation of the final completion report and as-built-drawings for all completed civil works along the project corridor and
- Carry our supervision of activities during the defects notification period
TANROADS an executive agency of the Ministry Of Works, Transport and Communication now invites sealed consulting firms (consultant) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the services. The shortlisting criteria are eligibility, experience on similar assignment in the last 10 years’ experience undertaking assignment under similar condition and availability of appropriate skills among staff in relation to the assignment in context
The attention interested consultant is drawing to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank guidelines selection and employment of consultant under the IBRD loan and IDA credits and grants by World Bank borrowers January 2011 revised July 2014(consultants guidelines) setting forth the world bank’s policy on conflict of interest
Consultant may associate with other firms of the form of joint venture of sub-consultancy to enhance their qualification
A consultant be selected in accordance with the quality and cost based selection method set out in the consultant guidelines
