PROVISION OF SUPPLIER(S) OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Total Energies East Africa Midstream B.V. (Company] Tanzania, an Oil and Gas company, requires the services of an experienced and reputable contractor(s) to provide Environmental consultancy services for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project in Tanzania.

The EACOP Project involves the construction and operation of o buried, cross-border pipeline to transport crude oil from the Lake Albert area in Uganda to the eastern coast of Tanzania for export to international markets. The pipeline will run from Kabaale in Hoima District, Uganda, to Chongoleani, Tanga Region, in Tanzania. The length of the 2a inch buried, heat traced & insulated pipeline is 1,443 Kilometers (km), of which 1147 km will be in Tanzania.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF WORK:

EACOP requires the services of experienced and reputable local companies or organizations to provide Standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE or Work wear that includes:

  • Head protection, Safety helmet fitted with a chin strap, ventilated Comply with applicable TZ Standards, EN 397, ANSI Z89.1 or other equivalent international standard.
  • Hearing protection, Disposable Ear Plug, Reusable Ear Plug, Earmuff attached to Helmet, Earmuff. Comply with applicable TZ Standards, EN 352.2 or other equivalent international standard.
  •  Face / Eyes protection, Safety Glasses. Comply with applicable TZ Standards, EN 166 or ANSI 287.1 or AS/NZS | 357 or other equivalent international standard Material: Polycarbonate.  Foot Protection, Safety Shoes / Boots, Comply with TZ Standard, EN 345, ANSI 241 or other equivalent international standard. Standard protective footwear has built-in steel toecaps and be made primarily of leather with non-electricity conductive and reinforced non-slip soles and Stainless steel mid sole for nail proof.
  • Protective Clothing, Coveralls or Comb-Suits with long sleeves, 100% cotton, light Fabric, with reflective striping and ventilations for shirts and trousers with relevant company logos.
  • Rainwear, Raincoats / Suits: Consideration must be given to ambient temperatures to prevent heat stress {light weight, breathable, vented, etc.).
  •  Fire Fighting Clothing and equipment. Comply with TZS 1303 -1305:201 1(E], EN 469 or other equivalent international standard.
  • Other Addition PPE as required by end users. Fall Protection, Welding Protective Equipment’s, Chemical Protective Equipment’s, Respiratory Protection etc.
  •  Provide a list of branches and or associates in Tanzania.
  •  Provide information on PPE make and current stock and planned inventory for the coming year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Companies or organizations expressing their interest are required to submit documentation of their:

  • Proof of registration of the Company as required under Tanzanian Law.
  •  Proof of registration with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and Tax Clearance Certificate for the latest year available.
  • Brief description of experience in dealing with PPE.
  • Experience, performance, and capacity in supplying PPE as outlined above.
  •  Financial capacity to deliver the services required including submission of financial accounts for the year.
  •  Registered with the EWVURA Local Supplier Service Provider (LSSP} database at the time of submission of the response to this expression of interest is strongly recommended,
  •  Compliance with Local Content Regulations, 2017 and Local Company definition.
  •  Evidence of organization H3SE Management systems & policy, procedure, and process in compliance with applicable Local and Industry standards for similar works.
  •  Appropriate licensing from relevant in-country authorities for the provision of the services.

Note: The EACOP project will review and assess the documents provided by the interested companies to derive a list of prequalified companies. Only prequalified companies will receive, subject to signature of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDAI, invitation to submit bids in furtherance of the call for tender process.
