The Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT) is a Public Private Partnership
that was initiated at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Africa Summit 2010 with the support of
founding Partners including farmers, agri-business, the Government of Tanzania, donors and
private sector companies. Partners implementation arrangements more specifically are governed by
partnerships and how well the growth of these adhere to certain principles.
SAGCOT’s objective is to foster agribusiness to benefit small-scale farmers and boost agricultural
productivity, improve food security, reduce poverty and ensure environmental sustainability during
the commercialization of smallholder agriculture. The mandate of the Partnership is to achieve this
by catalyzing responsible private sector led agriculture development over : twenty-year period.
The SAGCOT CENTRE LIMITED (SCL) hereby invites experienced and reputable consulting
firms for undertaking Review of the SAGCOT Green Print and Inclusive Green Growth (IGG)
Guiding Tool.
The overall objective of this assignment is to review, reflect and capture new developments in
this space, to ensure that these remain relevant and effective in addressing issues of inclusivity and
sustainability.
