TENDER NO. PA/001/2018-19/CZN/W/02 for Major Repair and Service of Power House Lift at Mtera Hydro Power Plant
The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited has set aside funds for Major Repair and Service of Power House Lift at Mtera Hydro Power Plant.
Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited now invites sealed tender from eligible Contractor to submit sealed bid for execution and completion of the project listed hereunder:

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement Amendment Regulation, 2016 Government Notice No 333 and is restricted to only one Tenderer as defined in the Regulations. The Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Tender Board Central Zone at the Procurement Management Unit office located at Room No. 20, 2nd floor, TANESCO Central Zone office Building, along DAR ES SALAAM Road -Dodoma, PO. Box 49, Dodoma. Telephone/fax (255) 26-2321632 fax +255 26-2321 74 from 09:00hrs to 16.00hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays
All bids must be accompanied with a bid securing declaration. If this Tender will not be accompanied by bid securing declaration will be considered as non-responsive.
The Tenderers, at their own responsibility and risk, MUST visit and examine the site on which service (5) are to be provided and obtain for itself all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a Contract for provision of the service(s). The costs of visiting the Site shall be at the Tenderer’s own expense.
Bid in a PLAIN SEALED envelope clearly marked Tender No. PA/001/2018-19/CZN/W/02 for Major Repair and Service of Power House Lift at Mtera Hydro Power Plant (Do not open before 10.30 hours on 09th May, 2019) must be delivered on or before 09th MAY, 2019 to the address THE SECRETARY -DELEGATED TENDER BOARD-CENTRAL ZONE, TANESCO CENTRAL ZONE OFFICE, P.O. BOX 49, DODOMA to reach him/her at Room No. 20, 2nd floor, on or before 09th May, 2019 at 10.30 hours local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zonal Procurement Specialist Off1ce located at Room No. 20, 2nd floor, TANESCO Central Zone Office Building, located along Dar es Salaam Road PO. Box 49, Dodoma.
Tenders will be opened thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representative who choose to attend the i opening ceremony at the Zonal Procurement Specialist Office located at 2nd floor, TANESCO Central Zone Office I Building, located along Dar es Salaam Road P.O. Box 49, Dodoma.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 100, 000 or equivalent. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd. PO. Box 49 Dodoma, Tanzania Bidding documents may be dispatched by courier i upon payment of the non-refundable fee before requesting for the dispatch. The Tenderer shall pay courier charges for posting the document. The purchaser shall resume no responsibility for late delivery of bidding documents couriered
Electronic submissions will not be accepted. Tenders not received and not opened during public Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
