INVITATION FOR TENDERS
This invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for Financial Year 2019-20 which was published m the TANROADS Website (www.tanroads.go.tz) on 17th May 2019 as well as in the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) website (www.ppra.go.tz )
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for Road Maintenance works through 4; Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) Kilimanjaro Region during the financial year 2019/2020. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payments under the Contracts for / Periodic, Routine/Recurrent Maintenance, Bridge Major Repairs 30d Bridge Preventive Maintenance Works Selected Trunk & Regional Roads.
The TANROADS Regional Manager Kilimanjaro on behalf of the Chief Executive, TANROADS now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Civil Engineering Contractors registered with the Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in Classes.spec1f_led m the Table below for carrying out Periodic, Routine/Recurrent, Bridges Major Repair and Bridges Preventive Maintenance Works on Selected Trunk and Regional Roads. The estimated quantities for Major Work’s items for the above mentioned Tenders No. periods are as outlined below; 0 AE/ 001/2019 20/KIL/W/01-16 to be Implemented for different period are as outlined below.

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Regulation 151 of Public Procurement Regulations, 2013Government Notice No. 446 and are open to national tenderers only as defined In the Regulations
Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tendering Document at the office of the Secretary of the Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, Kilimanjaro Region, located at Ujenzi Building, Old Moshi Road, Moshi Municipality, P.O Box 3051 Moshi, Telephone No. 027 2750108/2755195/6 from 08:00am to 04:30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on puinc holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional set may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application letter to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TShs. 150,000.00 for Tenders Number.: AE/001l2019-20lKILIW/01-06 and 100,000.00 for Tenders Number.: AE1001I201 9-20IKIUWI07-16 respectively.
Payment should be made in Bank through Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG) by obtaining control number from Regional Manager, TANROADS-Kilimanjaro, P. O. Box 3051 Moshi.
The Tender shall be valid for a period of 120 days from Tender opening. All tenders shall be accompanied by a “Tender Securing Declaration” in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.
Site visits have been scheduled for tenders as shown in the table below. Tenderers are advised to visit the site in order to examine the site of works and obtain all necessary information pertinent to the tenders. All site visits will be preceded by pre-bid meeting to be held at the Regional Manager’s Office.

All tenders in one original plus two (2) copies duly titled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary, TANROADS -Delegated Regional Tender Board, Ujenzi Building, Old Moshi Road, P.O Box 3051 Moshi, at or before 10:00 hours local time on Friday, 05th July 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend the opening meeting at the Conference Room, TANROADS Kilimanjaro.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received. tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
