This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in Development Business Issue no.WB 320-696/07 dated August 2007.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Njombe Town Council during the financial year 2018/2019. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Proposed Construction Works for the Igongwi Group Gravity Water Supply (Madope & Luvuyo)
The Njombe Town Council now invites sealed Tenders from eligible national contractors registered or capable of being registered in civil contractors class (five) V and above for carrying out the Proposed Construction Works for the Igongwi Group Gravity Water Supply (Madope & Luvuyo)
Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, Government Notice No.446 of 2013 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from the Office of the Town Director and inspect the Tendering Documents at Office of the Secretary of the Tender Board at Lunyanywi Area, Njombe Town Council, P.O.BOX 577 , Njombe from 0900 to 1600 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays..
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00(One hundred thousand only). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Town Director, Njombe Town Council.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable form in the amount of TZS 30,000,000.00(Thirty millions only) or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
All Tenders in one original plus two (2) copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address. The Town Director, Njombe Town Council, Lunyanywi Area , P.O.Box 577, Njombe Office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, Njombe Town Council at or before 1000am local time, date 22^nd April,2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at Njombe Town Council Conference hall.
Late Tenders portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
All tenderers who wish to bid for the works are strictly encouraged to visit the site on 08^th April, 2019 as shall be arranged by the Project Manager from 9:00 am and invited to attend Pre – Bid Meeting on 09^th April, 2019 atCouncil Conference Room, Njombe Town Council
