PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHT IN CHATO DISTRICT

FOR THE YEAR 2019/2020 Date 10/09/2019
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Chato District Council during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Proposed Installation of Solar Powered Street Light in Chato District.
The Chato District Council invites sealed Tender from eligible contractors registered or capable of being registered in Class III and above for Electrical Installation for carrying out the Proposed Installation of Solar Powered Street Light in Chato District.
Tendering will be conducted through Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods,Works, Non Consultancy service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 ON 446 and its amendments of 2016 as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender data sheet.
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of SECRETARY OF THE COUNCIL TENDER BOARD P.0 BOX 116 CHATO from 7.30 pm to 3:30 Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.
Qualification requirements include: Legal status of the Tenderer, proposed major equipment’s for carrying out the work, Qualification and experience of the key personnel, Experience in similar work, Financial status of the Tenderer , Certificate of registration with CRB, Annual subscription fee of 2017 or 2018, Extract of Registration Company Directors, Valid Business Licence and Tax payer Identification Number.
A complete set of Tender Documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of written application to address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of Tshs.100,000/=. Payment should be paid through NMB Bank after receiving payer identification number from the Chato District Treasurer.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the Tender documents.
All Tenderers in one original plus 2 copies marked TENDER N0.LGA/039/20l9/2020/SPSL/W/01 For Proposed Installation of Solar Powered Street Light in Chato District properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address under paragraph 4 above at or before 11:00 am on TUESDAY, 23/09/2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives during the opening ceremony at the Chato District Conference Hall.
Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders and tenders not received, quotations not opened at the quotations‘ opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
