INVITATION FOR TENDERS
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Works which appeared in Zanzibar Leo Issue No. 5418 dated 28/06/2018 and Daily News Issue No. 12,210 dated 28/06/2018.
Zanzibar Social Security Fund has set aside funds during the f1nancial year 2018/2019 and intends that part of those funds will be used to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Proposed Rehabilitation and Remodeling of ZSSF Mkoani Hotel Building in Pemba-Zanzibar.
Zanzibar Social Security Fund is hereby inviting all qualified and eligible contractors for Proposed Rehabilitation and remodelling of ZSSF Mkoani Hotel Building in Pemba-Zanzibar together with external works and all associated works. The required contractor should indicate that they are or eligible to be REGISTERED CLASS 1 BUILDING CONTRACTORS from eligible source countries as defined in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of2016.
The works consists of the following: a) Site Preparation. . b) Rehabilitation and remodeling of ZSSF Mkoani Hotel Building (G + 3) c) Services installations covering Plumbing and Fire Fighting, Electrical and Fire Detection, Telecommunication, ICT, Security and Alarm System, Lift, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation. And d) Other external works.
Tendering will be conducted through the International Tendering Procedures as specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 1 1 of 201 6 . Section 69(1) and are to National and International Tenderers as defined in the section unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
Qualified tenderer’s may obtain further information from and inspect the tendering documents at the Office of Secretary tender Board, Zanzibar Social Security Fund, P.O.BOX 2716, Kilimani Mnara wa Mbao, Zanzibar from 08.30 hours local time to 1630 hours local time on Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Documents and any additional documents may be purchased by qualified Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 9 bellow and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania shillings Two Hundred Thousand (TZS 200,000.00). Payment should either be by Cheque or bank transfer payable to Zanzibar Social Security Fund or cash paid to the following account detail.

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable form in the amount of Tanzania Shilling One Hundred Million (TZS 100,000,000) or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below. The deadline for submission of bids is 14:00 hours local time On Friday, 3″ May, 2019 Tenders will be opened in public and in the presence of those Tenderer’s, who choose to attend in the Conference Room, Zanzibar Social Security Fund at 14:00 hour’s local time on Friday, 3rd May, 2019. The outer cover shall be clearly marked “PROPOSED REHABILITATION AND REMODELLING 0F ZSSF MKOANI HOTEL BUILDING IN PEMBA-ZANZIBAR
Late tenders. portion of tenders, electronic tenders not received, not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony and shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
