Invitation for Tenders
1.This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Zanzibar Leo Issue no. 5618 dated 31 January 2019.
2. Zanzibar Insurance Corporation has set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2019. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Provision of Cleaning and Garden Maintenance Services for the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation Building at Mpiran Unguja, Pemba, Dar es salaam (Lumumba and Kijitonyama), Dodoma, Arusha, Mtwara, Mwanza and Mbeya.
3. The Zanzibar Insurance Corporation now invites sealed Tenders from eligible National providers of Cleaning Services.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016 and are open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of Tender Board, Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road-P.O.BOX 432, Room No; 209 from 8.30 am 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00. (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only). Payment should be made through The People’s Bank of Zanzibar Limited, Account number 040 3954 000 and Account name: Zanzibar Insurance Corporation.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an acceptable form in the amount of TZS 500,000. or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers
8. All Tenders in one original plus two (2) copies, properly fillled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary of Tender Board, Zanzibar Insurance Corporation , Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road -Mpirani, First Floor at or before 10:00 am on 20th November, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation Office Mpirani, Conference room No:209
9. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, and not opened and not read out in public at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
