FOR
PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS AND ITS DETAILS, DESIGN OF THE BUILDING, SERVICES DRAWINGS, COST ESTIMATES, BIDDING DOCUMENTS IN MOSHI BUS STAND BLOCK B
INTRODUCTION
The Moshi Municipal Council has decided to invest at its area located at Moshi Bus Terminal Block B in order to increase its revenue. Moshi Municipal Council during the Financial Year 2018/2019 had set aside a fund to cover eligible payment for the Consultancy Services upon provision of project write up and technical drawings for the construction of complex building. The Moshi Municipal Council intends to use part of the allocated fund to cover eligible payments under the contract for provision of consultancy services for architectural drawings and its details, design of the building, services drawings, cost estimates. bidding documents in Moshi Bus Stand Block B.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
Moshi Municipal Council intends to improve its revenue and Business environment to its Citizens by providing modern shops, offices, halls and accommodations.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
(a) The main objective is to provide Consultancy Services upon provision of project write up, visibility study and technical drawings for the Construction of complex building at Block B Moshi Stand.
Moshi Municipal Council now invites eligible Consulting firms (Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the services.
(b) interested Consultants should provide comprehensive information and documentation showing that they have required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Service, (i) legal status i.e relevant registration certificates to perform the services (ii) they have the required capability. The capability statement should include description of similar assignments, qualifications, experience and competence to perform the assignment, availability of appropriate skills among staff and any other relevant information.
(C) Firms will be short listed in accordance with procedures set by the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement (Selection and Employment of Consultants), Regulations 2013 Government Notice No. 446 of 2013. In assessing the submission, consideration will be given to the qualifications. technical competence of a consultant, experience on similar services and the capacity to undertake the assignment. Only consultants who demonstrated experience and excellent track records in similar assignments will be considered for short listing.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Consultant shall conduct feasibility study and provide business plans for the project. The consultant shall also examine and ascertain the location for construction of structures to be utilized for the project This assignment entails surveying of project area, drawing of sketch drawings and detailed drawings and design. Furthermore, the assignment will include the following:
- Providing architectural drawings and its details
- Providing structural drawings/design of the buildings and other related structures regarding the nature and bearing capacity of the soil
- Providing services drawings eg electrical, lighting, mechanical, communication and plumbing systems to any portion related to the buildings)
- Providing report on the soil test (bearing capacity) for the intended area for the construction of the projects
- Advice the client on all matters pertaining the proper work plan and methodology Conduct a soil study on the site (Geotechnical investigation and survey) and prepare a geotechnical report to provide foundation and associated site development recommendations and to assure that any in-ground, storm and waste water can be drawn off the building.
- To advice the council on matters related to the construction of the buildings.
- To give detailed drawings of all designs
- To prepare bill of quantities and estimated costs for construction of the buildings
- Prepare tender document for the construction of the same projects.
After a review, the short list will be prepared, and the short listed firms will be invited to submit their proposals through a letter of invitation including specific Terms of Reference.
interested firms may obtain further information from the Secretary, Moshi Municipal Tender Board, Moshi Municipal Council, Municipal Hall, Florida Road. P.o. Box 318, Moshi from 7.30 am. to 3.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on Public Holidays.
DEADLINE
Deadline for submission of Expression of Interest is 10:00 am. local time on 02nd , July. 2019.
The expression of interest will be opened immediately after deadline for submission in Public and in the presence of Consultants or their representatives who choose to attend in the Municipal Hall, Florida Road, Moshi.
