ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT, DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION NTENDO – MUZE – KILYAMATUNDU ROAD (179 KM) TO BITUMEN STANDARD IN RUKWA REGION
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) – NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING
Date: 15th July, 2019
1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS – Rukwa during the Financial Year 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Provision of Consultancy services for feasibility study, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender Documents for Construction of Ntendo – Muze – Kilyamatundu
Road (179 km) in Rukwa Region.
2. The Regional Manager, TANROADS – Rukwa now invites eligible National Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the Services which include:
2.1 Feasibility study including preliminary design, economic analysis and cost estimates;
2.2 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA);
2.3 Detailed Engineering Design;
2.4 Preparation of Tender Documents and
2.5 Confidential Engineer’s construction cost estimates.
3. Interested National Consulting Firms must provide information covering the last ten years indicating their qualifications to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
4. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations (Amendment, 2016), Government Notice No.446 of 2013 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
5. Selection will be conducted through Quality and Cost based selection procedures specified in the Procurement Regulations
6. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the Office of the Regional Manager TANROADS – Rukwa located at Makutano in Sumbawanga Municipality Email: [email protected] from 8:00 hours to 16:30 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
7. Expressions of Interest (EoI) in writing, clearly marked “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT, DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION NTENDO – MUZE – KILYAMATUNDU ROAD (179 KM) TO BITUMEN STANDARD IN RUKWA REGION” must be delivered to the Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, PMU Building Room No. 10 at the Regional Manager’s Office, TANROADS – Rukwa located at Makutano in Sumbawanga Municipality at or before 10:00 hours on 2nd August, 2019.
8. Tenders will be opened promptly after submission in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who will choose to attend the opening ceremony to be held at the Regional Manager’s Office – TANROADS – Rukwa.
Late EOIs, portion of EOIs, electronic EOIs, and EOIs not received, EOIs not opened and not read out in public at the EOI opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
