EXTENSION OF TIME FOR PRE-TENDER MEETING AND BID SUBMISSION

REHABILITATION OF KIRUMI CABLE-STAYED BRIDGE: LOT 1: REHABILITATION OF CABLE-STAYS AND ANCHORAGES;

1. The invitation for tender follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Tender which was published in TANROADS Website (www.tanroads.go.tz) as well as in Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Tender Portal, (tender.ppra.go.tz) on 30th April, 2018, and the Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) published on Daily News Magazine on 29th June, 2019.
2. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operations of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), Regional Manager’s Office in Mara Region during the financial year 2018/2019. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Rehabilitation of Kirumi Cable-Stayed Bridge,
Lot 1: Rehabilitation of Cable-Stays and Anchorages.
3. The TANROADS Regional Manager’s Office in Mara Region on behalf of Chief Executive now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderers for execution of the works for the bids as mentioned on table below. The works consist of the following major items and estimated quantities.

4. Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering method specified in the Public Procurement Act, 2011 Regulations, and 2013 Government Notice No.446 as amended in 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Tender Data Sheet.
5. Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the tendering documents at the office of Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, Mara Region; Telephone +255 28 2623001-3, Fax NO. 255 28 2623039 from 8:00 hours to 16:30 hours local time, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on public Holidays. Documents will not be dispatched by courier service.
6. A complete set of tendering Documents may be purchased by interested tenderers at the above office, on submission of a written application to the address given on paragraph 5 and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 200,000.00 (Tanzania Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only) or in a freely convertible currency for each set, which has to be paid with reference to Government e-Payment Gateway System (GePG) – Control Number to be issued by the Accounts Section at the Regional Manager’s office, TANROADS Mara
7. Tenders shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Tender opening, and must be accompanied by a “Tender Security” in original and in an acceptable form in the amount of TShs. 25,000,000 (Tanzania Shillings Twenty Five Million Only) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, and the tender must be submitted or be sent by a registered post to: The Secretary, Delegated TANROADS Regional Tender Board, P. O. Box 81, Musoma, Mara, TANZANIA so as to reach him on or before the deadline for submission of tenders.
8. The Tender Security shall be clearly addressed to: The Regional Manager, TANROADS, P. O. Box 81, Musoma, Mara, TANZANIA. The Tender Security shall be valid for Twenty eight days (28) beyond the end of the validity of the tender.
9. All bids in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelops P.O. Box 81, Musoma before the deadline of submission at 10.00 hours Local time on Tuesday 13th August, 2019. Tender will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tenderer’s representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at the conference hall of Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS-Mara. The outer cover of the Tenders must be clearly marked “Rehabilitation of Kirumi Cable-stayed Bridge, Lot 1; Rehabilitation of Cable-stays and Anchorages; Tender No. AE/001/2018-19/MAR/W/43.
10. A combined Site visit and Pre-tender meeting will be held on Friday 19th July, 2019 at the Regional Manager’s office, TANROADS, Mara Region. The site visit will commence at 10:00 a.m.
11. Late tenders, partial tenders, electronic bids, tenders sent by fax, tenders not received, not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be considered for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
