REHABILITATION AND WIDENING OF BANDARI ONE (1.3 KM) AND MIVINJENI ROADS (0.8 KM) AND BANDARI
ONE BRIDGE
1. This invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the year 2019/20 which appeared in the Guardian of 15th August, 2019
2. Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) has set aside funds during the financial year 2017-18; it is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Rehabilitation and Widening of Bandari one (1.3 km) and Mivinjeni (0.8 km) Roads and Bandari One Bridge, Dar es Salaam
3. The Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) hereinafter referred to as the Employer now invites sealed Tenders from eligible contractors registered or capable of being
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National competitive Bid method specific in the public procurement regulations 2013 – Government notice No. 446 with amendment of 2016 and is open to all tenders as defined in the regulations
5. Interested eligible Tenderer may obtain further information from and inspect the Tender Documents at the Office of the Secretary of Tender Board, Tanzania Ports Authority, Head Office, Bandari Tower One stop Center, P.O. Box 9184 Dar es Salaam, on the 26th Floor from 09.00 am to 16.00 pm Hours Local time Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
6. A complete set of tendering document (s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 7 below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Fifty Thousand Only (TZS 150,000.00). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Cheque, payable to Director General of Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA).
7. The Tender must be accompanied by a Bid Securing in an acceptable from the amount of TZS 150,00 or freelry convertible currencies in case foreign tenders

The tender in One Original plus Three Copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain Envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary Central Tender Board Room 48 Second floor at the HQ TPA along bandari One road Kurasin P.O. BOX 9184 DAR ES SALAAM or before Thursday 29 August 2019 at 10.00 hrs local time
9. Tender will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of tenders representatives who choose to attend the opening at the tender conference room ion the 26th floor at the one stop centre building along sokoine drive Dar es Salaam
10. Late Tenders, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
