Invitation for Tenders
This invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Tender Portal 1; website published on Tuesday, 28th August, 2018.
The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Airports Authority during the financial year 2018/2019. it Is Intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Supply, Installation, Configuration, Testing, and Commlsslonlng of X-Rays Machines and Walk through Metal Detectors for Iringa, Songea, Kigoma, Musoma, Lindi and Shinyanga Airports.
The Tanzania Airports Authority now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for the Supply, Installation, Configuration, Testing, and Commissioning of X-Rays Machines and Walk through Metal Detectors for lringa, Songea, Kigoma, Musoma, Lindi and Shinyanga Airports as follows;

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering (procedures specified in the Public Procumment Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations
Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary of Tender Board. Tanzania Airports Authority, P. 0. Box 18000, Dar es Salaam from 07.30 to 15.30 hrs local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 150,000 Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to DIRECTOR GENERAL TAA
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable form in the amount of 2% of the value quoted in Tanzanian shillings or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address The Secretary, TAA Tender Board, Tanzania Airports Authority, P.O. Box 18000, Dar es salaam at or before Tuesday, 16“ July 2019, which is the deadline for submission of bids. The inner and outer covers/envelopes shall also bear the address of The Secretary TAA Tender Board and be clearly marked “TENDER No. AE-027/2018-2019/HQ/G/03 FOR SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, CONFIGURATION, TESTING, AND COMMISSIONING 0F X-RAYS MACHINES AND WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTORS FOR IRINGA, SONGEA, KIGOMA, MUSOMA, [P LINDI AND SHINYANGA AIRPORTS. DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 11:00hrs on Tuesday. 16th July 2019″. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Tanzania Airports Authority HQs, Terminal One, Julius Nyerere International Airport.
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony Shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
