Invitation for Tenders
1.This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in PPRA Portal of 30th August, 2019
2. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for its operations during financial year 20I9/2020 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds to cover eligible payments under the contract tor which this invitation is issued.
3. TANESCO now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for Supply of furniture for Dar es Salaam and Coast Zone. Tendering will be conducted through the Restricted National Competitive Bidding (RNCB) specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 read together with Public Procurement Amendment Regulation, 2016 Government Notice No 333.
4. The tenderer may obtain further information from the office of the Secretary of the Delegated Zone Tender Board, TANESCO DSM & COAST Zone P.0. Box 2233 Dar es Salaam. Telephone No. +255 0738736775 from 09:00 hrs to 16:0 0hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays
5. A complete set of Tendering Document in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the addresses given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS. 118,000 VAT Inclusive payable through Bank to TANESCO Ltd.
6. The tender must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Document without any alteration
7. Tender in one original plus three copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked TENDER No.PA/001/2019-20/DZN/G/1 0 FOR SUPPLY OF FURNITURE FOR DAR ES SALAAM AND COAST ZONE NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 14:3O HOURS LOCAL TIME ON 14th November, 2019 must be delivered to the address: Secretary Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCO DSM & COAST Zone Ministry of Energy and Minerals SAMORA AVENUE P.O. Box 2233 Dar Es Salaam.
8. Tender will be opened promptly thereafter In public and In the presence of Tenderers representatives who choose to attend the opening Ceremony at TANESCO Zonal Office; Ministry of Energy and Minerals Building Fourth Floor, Room No. 422 on 14th November,2019.
9. The scope of supply will involve supply of furniture categorized in two (2) Lots. Bidders are free to bid for any complete lot or combination of lot(s) of their choice; Each Lot will be awarded to the bidders who will be found the lowest evaluated bidder
