INVITATION FOR BIDS
TENDER NO. ME/022/2018/2019/HQ/G/27
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Tanzania Strategic Cities Project (TSCP) – Second Additional Financing (AF2), coordinated by the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) through Project Coordination Unit (PCU) within the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA). It is intended that part of the proceeds of the credit will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Supply of Solid Waste Management Equipment under the TSCP AF2.
The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply of Solid Waste Management Equipment under the TSCP AF2 – Lot 1: Wheel Loaders – 8 units; and Lot 2: Skip Loaders for mounting Skip Buckets -13 units, Skip Buckets for Transporting Waste – 73 units and Tipper Trucks – 9 units. The delivery period is a maximum of 26 weeks.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines

Box 1923,41185 Dodoma, Tanzania at or before Tuesday August 20TH 2019 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the PO-RALG Conference Room, Mkapa Building, Ground Floor, Room No. 17, and Dodoma immediately after the deadline for bid submission.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as follows:
- (i) Lot 1: TZS 85,000,000 (Tanzanian Shillings Eighty-Five Million Only); Lot 2: TZS 85,000,000 (Tanzanian Shillings Eighty-Five Million Only) or respective equivalent amounts in freely convertible currencies. Bid security shall be valid for twenty-eight (28) days beyond the validity period (i.e. 148 days after the bids submission deadline) and clearly addressed to the
