(DESIGN, BUILD AND OPERATE)
1. This Invitation for Initial Selection follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nationals Development
Business online and dig market of July 2017.
2.The United of Tanzania (hereinafter called”Borrower”has received financial from International Development Association (IDA) (the “Bank”) in the form of credit (hereinafter called credit toward the cost of services for the Design ,Build, Operate Contract of Waste Water Treatment Plant at Mbezi Beach Dar es salaam .The Dar es salaam Water Supply and Sanitation Authority DAWASA intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this credit eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Initial Selection Works and Operation Service issued
3. DAWWASA intends t0 initially select Applicants for the Design, Build and Operate and provide them with the initial Selection Documents including key performance functional requirements location, key qualification requirements and other information necessary to enable Applicants to respond to this invitation for Initial Selection. It is expected that the Bidding documents will be made available to shortlisted applicants in June ,2021.
4, Initial Selection will be conducted through the World Bank’s Procurement Guidelines; Procurement of Goods, works and Non-Consultancy service dated January 2021 and revised July 2014 (Procurement Guidelines) and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.: 2s specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Guidelines;
5. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the below address during office between 0900 1600 hours from Monday to Friday inclusive, except on public holiday

6. A complete set of Initial Selection Documents in English language will be available from 18th March 2021 and can be downloaded free of cost from DAWASA Web page https/www.dawasa.go.tz. /en/tenders. All responses to clarification have been posted in the web page and Applicants are solely responsible for monitoring the respective website during the Initial Selection process for all classification /amendments with respects to this particular Invitation for Initial Selection.
7. Applicants for Initial Selection should be submitted clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below on 11st May 2021 by 1400hrs. Applicants may either submit their Application by mail or by provided under ITA 17.1. Late applicants may be rejected.
