Invitation for Tenders
Date: 12th July, 2019
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for these Projects which appeared in Tanzania Procurement Journal [TPJ] Vol. XIINo.24
2. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the
Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) in Ruvuma Region
during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contracts as detailed in the table below:-

3. The Ruvuma Regional Coordinator on behalf of Chief Executive Officer –
TARURA now invites sealed tenders from eligible Civil Contractors
registered in classes as described above to bid for the aforementioned tenders.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding
procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 –
Government Notice No. 446 and its amendments and are open to national
Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, Delegated
TARURA Regional Tender Board, Regional Coordinator’s Office,
Located at Changarawe – Sogea Camp, Songea Municipality from 7.30am
to 3.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English Language and
additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand only
(Tshs.100,000.00.) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency for each
set. Payment should be made to TARURA – Collection Account after
obtaining Control Number from the Accountant TARURA-Ruvuma,
Regional Coordinator’s Office and prospective bidders should come with
original pay slip from the bank in order to collect the tender document. Note that; all bank deposit should bare the company name.
7. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender securing declaration in the
format provided in the tendering documents.
8. All tenders in one (1) original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and
enclosed in envelope marked specific TENDER NUMBER must be delivered
to the Secretary, Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, P.O. Box
1199, Songea at or before Thursday, 26th July, 2019 at 10.00am. Tenders
will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend at the TARURA-Regional
Coordinator’s Office – Conference Room.
9. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received,
tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
