INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IN THE PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES TO SANDVIK MINING & CONSTRUCTION TANZANIA LTD
Sandvik Mining and Construction Tanzania Limited (THE COMPANY) is located in Mwanza. on the edge of Lake Victoria. The purpose of this EOL is to explore the market for service providers that possess the requisite skills. knowledge and capacity to provide the required security services to the Company.
Mandatory Pre-Qualification Criteria
1. At least two active security services contracts from a reputable organization.
2. Minimum of & years’ experience of providing armed and unarmed security services, with experience with diplomatic communities, or foreign companies, including embassies in Tanzania.
3. Compliant with Local Content Regulations.
4. Evidence of valid and current license to provide security services in Tanzania
5. Evidence of valid and current licence to provide armed security services and carry and use firearms and ammunition in Tanzania.
6. Compliant with all National labour Laws and Regulations
7.Compliant with all required Permits, Certifications and Licenses
8. Insurance Cover
9, Ability to provide all equipment, materials, weapons and personnel for execution of the service.
10.Provide financial statements for the previous/past two financial year.
Scope of Work
The security agency shall have to provide security services at all Sandvik offices, that is Mwanza offices, Geita offices and Staff’s residences which situated at capri-point, and Isamilo. The agency shall ensure protection of the persannel & property of the Company, prevent trespass with/without arms, perform watch and ward functions including night patrol an the various points and anti-social elements, unauthorized persons and vehicle inside the premises. In case of any incident such as theft, robbery, fight. fire, accident at premises or any untoward incident detrimental to safety & security of assets of the Company, it is the responsibility of Security agency to coordinate with Security Officer or any officer designated by the company in lodging legal proceeding etc.
The Security Agent will be required to:
1.Overall security arrangements of all assets of the company including offices and Staff’s residence.
2. Ensure that all instructions passed by the company from time to time are strictly followed and there is no lapse of any kind.
3. Ensure no items are allowed to be taken out without proper Gate Passes issued by the competent officers as laid down in the contract for in-out movement of stores/premises. The specimen signatures and telephone numbers of the above stated officers will be made available to the Security personnel.
4. Take care of all the lights, water taps, valves, water hydrants etc. installed over the premises.
6. In emergency situations, security staff/supervisor/Senior Security Supervisors deployed shall also participate as per their role defined in the disaster plan, if any, Security personnel should be sensitized for their role in such situations.
7. Ensure the Security Guard on duty shall not leave the premises until his reliever reports for duty
8. Perform any other duties/responsibilities assigned by the Company.
